Give More HUGS
In January 2019, Elon University students in the iMedia program take part in a “Project for the Greater Good.“ The program travels as four different groups to an international destination to build a website for a nonprofit organization.
I was selected as the group’s photographer and assistant videographer for the trip to Marigot, Dominica. I was responsible for capturing photographs of the students and ambassadors of the organization, Give More HUGS as well as the beauty of the island. I completed all photo edits and created banners from the photographs that were used on multiple pages of the website. As assistant videographer, I had a second camera set-up (tighter-framed shot) during each sit-down interview that was conducted on the island.
The mission for Give More HUGS is “to unite giving souls to help underprivileged students develop a lifelong love for learning, reading, and creativity.”
